Worshipful Master's Message Hello Brothers; Hope everyone is doing well. Let me bring you up to date on Lodge progress. On March 16th, the craft voted and passed Resolution No. 14 approving monies to renovate but not limited to remodeling the kitchen. We have already purchased a Digital Gas Stove, changed Gas companies, and now have Gas on Demand calling them only when needed. These improvements to our Lodge will start saving money.Within the next week or so we will be meeting with contractors and finalizing bids to bring back to the craft for approval. Our goal is to start renovations as soon as possible. Your input is always important and needed. Every member of Oleeta West Dade Lodge makes me proud to be your Worshipful Master. Two newly elected petitioners gave a knock at our door, and on March 23rd the doors of Freemasonry opened unto them as they became our youngest Entered Apprentices. They are Brother Alexis Schloeter and Brother Manuel Orol. They have both been assigned instructors and will begin to learn their catechism.Brother Hakan Bilimlier sat in the East and did a fantastic job. I also want to thank all the Past Masters who sat in the chairs to make this degree happen. "Excellent Job" I also had the distinguished honor to represent the Miami Scottish Rite in Houston, Texas last week at their Leadership Program. Many good ideas and comments where exchanged. I look forward to putting them to use. Thank You Brothers, W Robert F. Anderson
Why
Freemasonry Survives Institutions do not survive through the ages by accident; they live only through the possession and operation of everlasting principles. When an organization runs back beyond historic records, and relies upon tradition for the story of its origin, its career during a known period either justifies or falsifies the tradition. An ancestry of virtue and good works is a liberal education. The power of the accumulated wisdom of the past is a resistless impelling force upon the present. The architects, the decorators, the draftsmen, the woodcarvers, the workers in precious metals and the Masons who were building the famous Temple of King Solomon came from every nation in the then-known world. Their union of mutual help, protection, society and improvement was the marvel of an age when all navies were pirates and all nations’ enemies. Masonry, marching under the leadership of God and the banner that bears the motto, "Love thy neighbor as thyself," with the peasant and the prince, the mechanic and the merchant, the learned and the unlearned following in equal rank and common step, knows neither race nor nationality, neither caste nor condition, as it proudly and beneficially moves down the centuries. Freemasonry is founded on the immutable laws of Truth and Justice and its grand object is to promote the happiness of the human race .GEORGE WASHINGTON. Fraternally ,GERARD HARB
