Volume 2, Issue 5 Worshipful Masters Message Hello Brothers; Another month has passed, and it seems as if the installation of officers occurred yesterday! We are about to depart for Grand Lodge Communications and it is my honor to represent Oleeta West Dade Lodge as your Worshipful Master. The Senior and Junior Wardens are going to accompany me as well as a few of our brothers. For the second year in a row, one of our Brothers has been chosen from Oleeta West Dade Lodge to represent the 34th Masonic District as the District Deputy Grand Master. Congratulations to W\ Michael C. Green P.M. who has been selected for this high honor. Brother Mike, I know you will make Oleeta West Dade Lodge No. 145 proud. You will have our support in every task you undertake. By the time you read this newsletter we should be well on our way toward installing our New Kitchen. We should break ground on this project before leaving for Grand Lodge. When we go dark this summer we plan to start the
Lodge Room renovations so keep your fingers crossed. Brothers, I need your help. I am looking for volunteers to do some work around the lodge; the dinning room and hallways need painting as well as a few other odds and ends. If you have the time that you can devote, let me know. Your help is always needed. Brothers, we want to continue to perform excellent degree work and work toward increasing our membership. Therefore, we need to practice. Please keep up the good work and support your lodge officers .Thank You Brothers, W\ Robert F. Anderson
The Best Prayer I Ever Heard Recently, I received this prayer in an email from a brother. It is labeled as the best prayer I ever heard. I have to agree that it is an excellent prayer because it emphasizes the fact that things are not always as they appear and we need to be cognizant of the fact that there is innate good in our fellow man. The last paragraph is an excellent daily prayer for every Freemason. The Prayer
Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man, who gave us the incorrect change, is a worried 19 year old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester. Remind us Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money everyday in the same spot, is a slave to his addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares. Help us remember that the couple walking annoyingly slow in the store aisles, blocking our shopping progress, are savoring this moment, knowing that based on the biopsy report she got last week, this will be the last year they shop together. Heavenly Father, remind us each day that of all the gifts you give us, the greatest is Love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge, and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy, and love. Fraternally, W\Patrick C. Palmer P.M.
